CALAUAN, Laguna – Nine individuals, three Filipinos and six foreigners, were allegedly kidnapped by armed men in Muntinlupa City before dawn on Monday, October 30.
Calauan police identified the Filipino victims as Henry Catapat, Marian Arambulo, and John Ray Catapat.
The three victims told police that they and five Chinese nationals were at the house of their employer, Ceng Chi Liang, also a Chinese, in Muntinlupa when six men barged inside.
The three Filipinos and six Chinese were seized at gunpoint and forcibly taken into a commuter van.
The three Filipinos were dropped off in Barangay Limao here on Monday afternoon and ordered not to report the incident to the authorities.
The kidnappers and six Chinese sped off toward the direction of Bay, Laguna.
However, the three Filipinos reported their abduction to barangay officials.
Police here have coordinated with the Muntinlupa police station for the investigation and proper disposition of the case.
