'Unwavering dedication to the faith': Romualdez couple greets INC's Manalo on 68th birthday

House Speaker Martin Romualdez and his wife Tingog Party-list Rep. Yedda Marie Romualdez gave their warm greetings to Iglesia Ni Cristo (INC) Executive Minister, Bro. Eduardo V. Manalo on the occasion of his 68th birthday on Tuesday, Oct. 31. 

"We unite with the Iglesia Ni Cristo and the entire world in extending our heartfelt and warm greetings to you, Ka Eduardo V. Manalo, as you celebrate your 68th birth anniversary," Speaker Romualdez, the leader of the 300-plus strong House of Representatives, said on Monday, Oct. 30. 

"On this special day, we celebrate not just your birthday but also the remarkable leadership and guidance you’ve provided to the INC and its members. Your unwavering dedication to the faith and your tireless efforts in leading and nurturing the Church have been a source of inspiration for all of us," he said. 

Rep.Romualdez credited Manalo for the good character formation of Filipinos, especially the youth. 

"On your birthday, we also wish the Iglesia ni Cristo all the best as you propagate the faith in every part of the globe. May the Lord continue to bless your efforts in spreading the good news of salvation and in living a life of good deed. Maraming salamat po sa serbisyo. Maraming salamat po sa malasakit,” she said.

Rep. Romualdez hailed the INC for being "consistently behind productive endeavors for the poor". She further said Filipinos were “so fortunate to have [INC]". 

“On this day, let us also express our deepest appreciation to all the contributions that you have made to improve the living conditions of our people. For all your efforts, may your name be forever exalted," she said. 

Meanwhile, the Speaker spoke gleaming about Manalo's "commitment to the INC and its mission has been extraordinary". 

"Under your guidance, the Church has flourished and touched the lives of countless individuals worldwide...Your leadership has fostered unity, growth, and strength within the INC," said the Leyte 1st district representative and Lakas-Christian Muslim Democrats (Lakas-CMD) president. 

"On your birthday, we want to express our heartfelt gratitude for your selfless service...We pray for your continued good health, happiness, and success in your endeavors. May God continue to guide and protect you as you lead us forward in faith and love," Speaker Romualdez further said.
