The Early Voting Hours Project allowed persons with disabilities (PWDs), senior citizens, heavily pregnant women and one assistant to vote early from 5 a.m. to 7 a.m.
However, only Muntinlupa and Naga City in Camarines Sur are included in the project and not Taguig.
Comelec-Taguig made the statement after several PWDs and senior citizens went to polling places early to vote.
“Nais po naming ipagbigay-alam na HINDI KASAMA ang Lungsod ng Taguig sa mga lugar na may Early Voting Hours para sa mga miyembro ng Persons with Disability (PWD), Senior Citizens, at heavily pregnant women (buntis na 6 na buwan pataas) (We would like to inform everyone that Taguig City is not included in places with Early Voting Hours for members of Persons with Disability (PWD), Senior Citizens, at heavily pregnant women (six months pregnant),” the Comelec-Taguig said.
It said despite this, PWDs, senior citizens and heavily pregnant women are priority in line during the voting hours from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.
