QC voters come early at Commonwealth Elementary School for BSKE 2023
Residents of different villages in Quezon City came early to Commonwealth Elementary School in the city to cast their votes for the Baranggay and Sangguniang Kabataan Election (BSKE) Monday, Oct. 30.
Mr. Angelo Felipe, vice chairman of the Baranggay Board of Canvassers (BBOC) in the school, said that there are around 39,319 registered voters in the school in Barangay Commonwealth for BSKE.
There are 115 clustered precincts at the school and around 81,100 registered voters in Barangay Commonwealth, he added.
Some of the voters came as early as 6 a.m. and they were allowed to enter the premises at exactly 7 a.m.

Upon entering the campus, the voters immediately checked locator maps placed inside the school to search for the buildings where their voting precincts are located.
Felipe said they only opened the main entrance of the school so that they can easily monitor the people going in and out and ensure peace and order.
Senior citizens, pregnant women, and persons with disabilities who are having difficulties in climbing stairs going to their voting precincts were allowed to vote at the Emergency Accessible Polling Place (EAPP) at the school's covered court. They were allowed to enter the school at around 6:30 a.m.
Parish Pastoral Council for Responsible Voting (PPCRV) and BBOC members also provided assistance to voters who had difficulties finding their names and voting precinct buildings.
Rita, 51, of Barangay Commonwealth said that although she initially experienced difficulty in finding the building of her precinct, she was assisted by personnel in the school to locate the assigned room for her to cast her vote.
Mercita, also from the said barangay, said that her experience in the school was smooth and quick as she was able to cast her vote in less than an hour.
Meanwhile, members of the Porqueriño and Jabido family (mostlt SK voters) also said that the voting process in the school was fast and smooth.
All the voters said that they went to the Commonwealth Elementary School to exercise their right to vote and choose the leaders who they believe will lead their villages in the improvement and development of their living.
Members of the Quezon City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office, and Quezon City Police District (QCPD) also established assistance desks to provide aid to persons in need.
