PCSO raises minimum lotto jackpot to P89M starting Oct. 30
The Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) is increasing the minimum jackpot prizes for all its major lotto games to a substantial P89 million starting Monday, Oct. 30.

This move, according to PCSO, is part of its 89th-anniversary celebration and a way to show appreciation for the continued patronage of the public over the past 89 years.

In a Facebook post on Oct. 26, PCSO said that the minimum prize of P89 million will initially apply to Grand Lotto 6/55 and MegaLotto 6/45, which are the games drawn on Mondays.

In case there are no winners in the Monday draw, PCSO explained that the prize will also be applied to the UltraLotto 6/58 drawn on Tuesdays, Fridays, and Sundays; SuperLotto 6/49 drawn every Tuesday, Thursday, and Sunday; and Lotto 6/42 drawn on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays.
The prize, PCSO noted, will increase incrementally until the jackpot is won.

As the national government's charity arm, PCSO is tasked with generating funds for various charitable programs through lotteries, scratch-offs, and other number games.
PCSO General Manager Melquiades Robles expressed gratitude to the public for their unwavering support.
"Eighty-nine years of service is already remarkable, but my wish is for PCSO to endure longer and be able to assist more Filipinos," Robles said.
By setting the lotto jackpot at P89 million, Robles added that the agency intends to convey its appreciation to all its patrons for their continuous support of PCSO games and services.
"The support you provide for our products and services, especially Lotto, enables us to aid thousands of our indigent kababayans who require medical, educational, or financial assistance from the national government," Robles said. "For this, we are profoundly grateful," he added.
