House Deputy Speaker and former president Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo joined millions of Filipinos Monday, Oct. 30 in exercising their right to vote during the Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Elections (BSKE).

House Deputy Speaker and former president Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo joined millions of Filipinos Monday, Oct. 30 in exercising their right to vote during the Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Elections (BSKE).

Arroyo's office shared photos of the Pampanga 2nd district congresswoman casting her vote for the BSKE at Lubao Elementary School.

Arroyo, who is also a former House Speaker and Senior Deputy Speaker, serves as president emeritus of the Lakas-Christian Muslim Democrats (Lakas-CMD) party.

She was the country’s president from 2001 to 2010.
