Consider leaving small children at home when visiting cemeteries --- DOH
To prevent injuries and diseases caused by overcrowding, the Department of Health (DOH) on Monday, Oct. 30, strongly advised the public to refrain from bringing small children to cemeteries.

"I am advising parents and caregivers not to bring small children to cemeteries as overcrowding and intense heat and sudden unexpected downpour may cause diseases to small children,” said Health Secretary Teodoro J. Herbosa in a statement.
Threat of Covid-19 still present
While Covid-19 cases have plateaued, Herbosa warned that the “threat of the disease” is still present. “There are still sporadic cases and increasing cases in some regions,” DOH said.
As of Oct. 27, the DOH Covid-19 tracker reported a total of 4,119,478 cases in the Philippines.
Based on the data, there are 2,929 active Covid-19 cases in the country.

Moreover, DOH stressed that small children have “low resistance against infections.”
For health and safety reasons, Herbosa also cautioned against purchasing items from ambulant vendors inside and outside of cemeteries, especially those selling food.
