Spooky season it is!

Some actors provide haunting performances on the screen or stage. Others are just haunted. These celebrities swear these ghost stories aren't the result of tricks but of real-life spirit encounters.

These stars were asked about their past encounters. Here's what they had to say about them:

Adele: "This bits all quite scary, really."

According to reports, the Grammy award winner has moved into a lavish 25-acre West Sussex property that was a convent before. But after a few months of moving into her new house, she eventually had the creeps after hearing sounds from the long hallways of her house.

“I’m not rattling around here on my own. It gives me the creeps," she added. 

Courtney Cox: "I was at the house one day, not being a believer, And the doorbell rang. It was a UPS guy or something, and I opened the door and he said, 'Do you know this house is haunted?'  

Since the "Friends" alumni was not a firm believer of ghost encounters, what the UPS guy told her next convinced her to sell her house.

"Yeah, why? Why do you think that?" to which the delivery driver responded, "Because there is someone standing behind you."

Vanessa Hudgens: "I remember getting ready for school when I was 8 years old, and there was … you know, those ducks [toys] that you pull [the string]? There was one of those on the dining room table, and I started walking, and it just started going alongside me."

Although the actress wanted to shut down her supernatural gifts, she explained that she had fun leaning into it.

"I kind of shut it down for a while because it's scary. The unknown is scary, but recently, I was like, 'No, this is a gift and something that I have the ability to do, so I'm going to lean into it," she added. 

Liam Payne: "I knew these lights were coming on at three o’clock in the morning in this house."

The former One Direction member and partner at that time chose to sleep in the cinema room in the midst of encountering supernatural entities in their house.

"Cheryl wouldn’t stay in the top room, being pregnant with the baby. I’ve seen lights go on and off in the middle of the night and a few little creepy things, like taps turning on and off," he added. 

Ryan Gosling: "He just sat. And I knew from a very young age that he was a ghost, too. He scared me. I told my mother, but she couldn't see him. Nobody could. And I learned to live with that. I had to."

He may have been young at that time, but Ryan was convinced that it was true that he saw a ghost, after his mom was persuaded that it was haunted. 

Gigi Hadid: 'When we were kids, we lived in this really old house, and I was given the attic as my room. We used to hear this weird sound in the closet, and then we asked my dad, and he said this old lady used to live in the house.’

Unusually, Gigi and her family made friends with the unknown entity, after becoming convinced that she was real.

‘We would talk to her. We’d be like, “Girl, we’ll bring you some tea”.

Ryan Reynolds: "I think a lot of people make that stuff up to sell their movie, but there was some weird stuff that happened. A lot of the crew were waking up at 3:15 in the morning which was when all these atrocities in the house took place each time. I think it was a subconscious thing. You read the script and suddenly pop awake at 3:15 in the morning."

During that time Reynolds was doing the film "Amityville", a story about the allegedly real experiences of George and Kathy Lutz and the murders of the DeFeo family in 1974.

Reynolds also shared that during the first weeks of filming, a body washed up on the shore of the lake near set, causing production to shut down for a few days.
 

Gigi de Lana: "Limang beses na akala ko gising na ako pero hindi pa pala. Yung pintuan biglang bumukas. Tapos may matandang lalaki, ugat-ugat ‘yung kamay na parang sinapian, patalikod na pumasok. Akala ko nagising na ako. Tapos biglang may mannequin na itim na walang ulo sa harap ko."

(Five times I thought I was awake but I wasn't. The door suddenly opened. Then there was an old man, his hands were full of roots as if he were possessed, he turned his back and entered. I thought I woke up. Then suddenly there was a black headless mannequin in front of me)

Gigi also shared that having nightmares and sleep paralysis are a deadly combo. 

Alden Richards: "There's this one time, meron akong pinuntahang event. And then I was [about to drive] alone pauwi, we finished at 10 p.m. May kumakatok sa side window ko. Sabi ko, 'Bakit?' Sabi niya, 'Kuya Alden, ingat ka kasi may kasama ka sa harap," Alden said.

(There's this one time, I went to an event. And then I was [about to drive] home alone, we finished at 10 p.m. Someone is knocking on my side window. I said why?' He said, 'Kuya Alden, be careful because you have someone in front)

Although he was a bit concerned, Alden reassured his fan that he's not scared and still drove home. 

Heaven Paralejo: "Kami po nung lola ko nung nanonood lang po kami and super dilim po nung bahay namin that time kasi umalis po yung buong family, tapos pagtingin po namin dun sa taas may nakatayo, then nagtinginan po kami ng lola, and that was the first time na nakakita ako ng something," Heaven shared.

(It was just the two of us, me and my grandmother. We were just watching and it was super dark in our house at that time because the whole family had left, then we looked up there someone was standing in the stairs, we looked at each other and it gave us the chills. that was the first time that I saw something)

The actress also revealed that some family members also had the same experience in that house. 

Miles Ocampo: "Parang may bumubulong sa akin. Akala ko sila Mama, pero iba ‘yung lenggwahe, hindi ko maintindihan," she mentioned.

(It was like someone was whispering to me. I thought it was my mom, but the language is different. I don't understand)

According to the actress, that incident happened when she was eight years old while her mom and aunt were chatting. 

Lotlot de Leon: "I called out again. I said, ‘Matet?’ Sumagot, ‘Mmmm?’ Pagbukas ko ng banyo, wala din siya. Pero may sumasagot sa akin. Kaboses niya ‘yung kapatid ko. I knew it was Matet pero wala siya sa buong kwarto."

(I called out again. I said, 'Matet?' she answered, 'Mmmm?' When I opened the bathroom, she wasn't there either. But someone answered me. She has my sister's voice. I knew it was Matet but she wasn't in the whole room)

According to Lotlot, the incident happened when she and Matet were living together in Tandang Sora. 

Jeremiah Lisbo: "Tahol siya nang tahol sa isang spot na ’to. Sobrang aggressive niya. Humangin nang malamig papunta sa akin tapos saka lang siya tumigil sa pagtahol."

(He barked and barked at this one spot. He is very aggressive. A cold wind blew towards me and then he stopped barking)

It was a lesson learned for Jeremiah that walking his dog at 12 midnight was a bad idea.
