Renowned Korean mystery-thriller author Jeong Youjeong coming to Manila
Korean mystery-thriller author Jeong Youjeong is coming to Manila for the "Meet the Mentor: K-Novelist Book Talk Show" organized by the Korean Cultural Center (KCC) in the Philippines.
The "Meet the Mentor: K-Novelist Book Talk Show" will also feature the "K-Lit: Turning Pages of Korea", a Korean modern literature pop-up exhibition.

The Meet the Mentor series, which aims to foster cultural education through workshops, seminars, and talks, returns with an exploration of Korean literature.
Jeong Youjeong (정유정) is the award-winning author of the international bestseller "The Good Son," and "Seven Years of Darkness."
With her works having been translated and published in 22 countries, she has garnered global acclaim for the distinctive style and profound exploration of the "backside of human nature." Her works feature compelling narratives, intricate plots, bold prose, and vibrant characters that transcend the boundaries between fiction and reality.
The “Meet the Mentor: K-Novelist Book Talk Show,” in partnership with National Library of the Philippines, Rizal Library, and Fully Booked, will be held on Oct. 10 and 11 at National Library of the Philippines, Rizal Library-Ateneo de Manila University, and Fully Booked BGC High Street Branch.
K-Lit: Turning Pages of Korea, a Korean Modern Literature Pop-up Exhibition
The immersive exhibition happening from Oct. 13 to Nov. 18 at the KCC invites visitors to delve deeper into Korean modern literature through displays of one hundred Korean books and special sections dedicated to four main books.
Explore specialized corners showcasing internationally acknowledged books and novelists, including Jeong Youjeong's "Seven Years of Darkness," Son Wonpyung's "Almond" and Cheon Meyung-gwan's "Whale”. These sections offer diverse genres such as mystery, young adult, and fantasy, ensuring a unique literary experience for everyone.
Both events promise to provide attendees with a unique and enriching cultural experience.
