Man seen robbing a truck in viral video arrested in Tondo

Manila Police District (MPD) operatives arrested the man who was seen in another viral video of truck robbery on Road 10 in Tondo last Oct. 1.

The MPD Raxabago Police Station (PS-1) identified the suspect as Jay-R Sanoy, 24, a resident of Barangay 128, Tondo.

The police said the suspect was initially arrested for alarm and scandal and illegal possession of bladed weapon.

However, during the course of investigation, police found out that he was the same suspect in a viral video showing him robbing a truck loaded with steel on Road 10.

He only got some wires and failed to get some steel as he fled when the truck porter noticed him.

Police said Sanoy and a 16-year-old boy were nabbed after patrolling officers saw them shouting and cursing at each other while armed with bladed weapons in Aroma Compound, Barangay 105, Tondo, around 6:15 p.m. on Oct. 1.

The arresting officers recovered from them two 14-inch bladed weapons.

They are now at PS-1 and will face charges of alarm and scandal, and illegal possession of deadly weapon.

Sanoy will also be charged with theft, police said.
