In observance of October as Holy Rosary month, the Manila Cathedral (Minor Basilica of the Immaculate Conception) in Intramuros, Manila, is inviting the faithful to visit the church as it holds several activities in honor of the Blessed Virgin Mary.

There will be a daily recitation of the holy rosary at 11:30 a.m. from Monday to Friday, at 7 a.m. every Saturday and at 9:30 a.m. every Sunday for the whole month of October.
Marian images will also be brought to the cathedral for a pilgrim visit.
The Our Lady of the Holy Rosary La Naval de Manila was brought to the Manila Cathedral on Oct. 1. On Oct. 2, the recitation of the holy rosary was held at 8:15 a.m. followed by a holy mass at 9 a.m. by Fr. Filemon dela Cruz OP, Prior Provincial of the Dominican Province of the Philippines.
The Nuestra Senora dela Salud also arrived at the church on Oct. 1. A farewell mass will be offered in her honor on Oct. 7 at 7:30 a.m.
On Oct. 4 to 6, the image of the Nuestra Senora dela Asunción de Maasin will be at the Manila Cathedral.
The following revered Marian images will be enthroned at the Sanctuary: Nuestra Señora de Fatima (Oct. 8-14), Nuestra Senora del Pilar (Oct. 15-21), Nuestra Senora de Medalla Milagrosa (Oct. 22-28), and Nuestra Senora de Guia (Oct. 29-31).
A holy mass will be celebrated on Oct. 22 at 10 a.m. by Fr. Joel Rescobar, rector and parish priest of the Archdiocesan Shrine of Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal.
On Oct. 29, Fr. Estelito Villegas, rector and parish priest of the Archdiocesan Shrine of Nuestra Senora de Guia, will preside over a holy mass at 10 a.m.
The Catholic Church traditionally observes the month of October as Holy Rosary Month.
St. Dominic, the founder of the Order of Preachers, propagated the praying of the holy rosary after it was given to him by the Blessed Virgin Mary in an apparition during the 13th century.
