Fire razes 6 stalls in Batangas

MALVAR, Batangas – Six stalls were gutted by a fire in Barangay Bulihan, this town, on Sunday night, October 1.

Police identified the stall occupants as Edison Umali, Mhean Umali, Belen Umali, Jenepher Ayangco, Liza Garcia, Beverlyn Rosal, and Eric Garcia.

The victims were occupants of Bert Tan, caretaker, police said.

The fire started at the stall owned by Edison at 11 p.m. and spread to adjacent stalls.

Fire was under control at 11:40 p.m. and fire out was declared at 11:45 p.m.

Cause of the fire is still under investigation and no injuries or casualties were reported.
