Initiated by the Marcos Administration, the LAB for ALL caravan seeks to provide cost-free essential healthcare services to the local community.

“The Department of Health's support for this government program remains steadfast, with the singular goal of improving the health of our fellow countrymen towards a healthy Philippines where every life matters on the path to the new Philippines,” Herbosa said.

DOH said these services encompassed the distribution of complementary medications and access to consultations spanning various medical specialties, including ENT, pediatrics, surgery, vaccination, eye check-ups, obstetrics, gynecology, ECG, X-ray, and more.

The LAB for ALL launch saw active participation from several other government entities.

In addition to the DOH, the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA), Food and Drug Administration (FDA), Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PhilHealth), and the local government of Nueva Ecija also supported the event.

During the event, which was also attended by First Lady Liza Araneta Marcos, Herbosa affirmed the DOH's unwavering commitment to supporting LAB for ALL since it is in line with the Universal Health Care Act. (Zekinah Elize Espina)
