CAMP JUAN, Ilocos Norte – Seventy-four police officers in this province tested negative in a random drug test here.
Police Col. Julius Suriben, Ilocos Norte police director, said the activity was part of the Ilocos Norte Police Provincial Office’s (INPPO) commitment to a drug-free workplace, a milestone in the internal cleansing program of the Philippine National Police as stipulated in PNP Memorandum Circular No. 2017-013.
Suriben said tested were from the command group, provincial staff, chiefs of police of the cities and 23 municipalities, commanders of the provincial mobile force companies, Provincial Internal Affairs Service, Provincial Legal Office, Provincial Forensic Unit, Criminal Investigation and Detection Group-INPFU, Aviation Security Unit 1, Provincial EOD and Canine Unit, 101st Regional Mobile Force Battalion 1, 144 SAC, 14SAB PNP Special Action Force, PNP Maritime, Provincial Executive Senior Police Officer, Provincial Intelligence Unit, and Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit.
“This exceptional achievement underscores INPPO's unwavering dedication to upholding the law and its intensified commitment to fostering a drug-free workplace through the ‘Implan:Pagwadan,’ recognized as a best practice within the provincial office and serving as a model for the entire Ilocos region,” said Suriben.
