3 nabbed for stealing cable wires in Rizal

Three individuals were arrested for theft by the police in two separate incidents in Rizal, the Rizal Police Province Office (Rizal PPO) said Tuesday, Oct. 3.

In Morong, Rizal on Sept. 30, the suspect, identified as "Karl", was caught by a roving security guard of a farm.

According to the guard, he saw a motorcycle parked outside the farm he was guarding with no one on it. When he looked around the property, he saw "Karl" holding a bag containing 30-meters of electrical wire, two electrical pliers, a hacksaw, and a pair of electrical gloves.

"Karl" said he was with a certain "Rico" who had escaped. The police is now conducting a manhunt operation against the suspect.

In Antipolo City, "Angel" and "Vince" were caught cutting the electric cables of Meralco in Barangay San Roque on Oct. 1. Seized from them was electric wire worth P18,605.

The three suspects are now facing charges for violation of Anti-Pilferage Act of 1994 or RA 7832 and are now detained.
