The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said on Sunday, Oct. 29 that parts of Luzon may experience rainy weather during the Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Elections (BSKE) on Monday, Oct. 30.

PAGASA said Batanes will experience cloudy and rainy weather due to the northeast monsoon or “amihan.”
It warned that flash floods and landslides are possible due to moderate to heavy rains.
The amihan may also bring isolated light rains to Ilocos Region, Cordillera Administrative Region, Central Luzon, and the rest of Cagayan Valley.
Meanwhile, weather specialist Benison Estareja said a low pressure area (LPA) has entered the Philippine area of responsibility on Sunday afternoon.
It was last located 960 kilometers east of northeastern Mindanao.
Metro Manila and other parts of Luzon will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers caused by the trough or extension of the LPA and localized thunderstorms.
PAGASA also warned the public against flash floods and landslides during severe thunderstorms. (Lizst Torres Abello)
