PSA, DepEd, AFP, BSP receive high trust, approval ratings — survey

The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) received the highest trust and satisfaction ratings among key government agencies in October, with 84 percent and 77 percent, respectively, based on a survey by big data research firm Tangere.

The Department of Education, Armed Forces of the Philippines, and Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas were close behind in terms of highest trust and satisfaction ratings, with 80 percent and 74 percent, respectively.

The following are the trust and approval ratings of other key government agencies: Department of Social Welfare and Development (77 and 72 percent, respectively); Department of Health (76 and 71 percent); Department of Labor and Employment (76 and 70 percent); Department of Foreign Affairs (73 and 68 percent); Department of Tourism (73 and 67 percent); Department of the Interior and Local Government (69 and 65 percent); Department of Agrarian Reform (64 and 61 percent); Philippine National Police (63 and 57 percent); Department of Public Works and Highways (62 and 60 percent); Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (61 and 57 percent); and Department of Justice (61 and 57 percent).

A sample size of 2,000 people took part in the survey, which was conducted using a mobile-based application from Oct. 4 to 6.

The proportion was spread throughout the country with 12 percent from Metro Manila, 23 percent from North and Central Luzon, 22 percent from South Luzon, 20 percent from Visayas, and 23 percent from Mindanao.
