Pasig LGU announces WFH setup for gov't offices on Oct. 31
The local government of Pasig announced on Saturday, Oct. 28 that government offices in the city will be on a work-from-home (WFH) setup on Tuesday, Oct. 31.
It said that, if practicable, all transactions in person will be closed to the public on Tuesday, and all of its operations shall be limited to WFH arrangements.
However, it stated that all offices involved in the delivery of basic and health services, preparedness or response to disasters and calamities, and those who perform other vital services shall continue with their usual operations and render the necessary services in person.
The city's advisory is in line with Memorandum Circular No. 38 issued by the Office of the President on Oct. 27 and took effect immediately, stating that WFH arrangements in government offices shall be implemented.
The memorandum added that asynchronous classes in public schools will be conducted.
It aims to provide all government employees with a full opportunity to properly observe All Saints' Day on Nov. 1.
It is also to allow them to travel to and from the different regions of the country.
"A similar arrangement for work in private companies and classes in private schools is left to the discretion of their respective heads," the memo also stated.
