2 men arrested for illegal drugs, gambling in Pasay

Two men were arrested for illegal gambling and possession of drugs by members of the Pasay City police during the conduct of a routine patrol on Friday, Oct. 27.

Col. Froilan Uy, city police chief, identified the suspects as alias Ricky, 44, and Michael, 38. They were arrested at around 5:30 p.m. along Apelo Cruz St., Barangay 152, Malibay, Pasay City.

Uy said members of the Sub-Station 6 in Malibay were conducting a routine patrol when they spotted the suspects engaged in illegal gambling (Cara y Cruz).

He said the police during the procedural body search found in the possession of Ricky the 19 small heat-sealed plastic sachets containing shabu weighing 14. 9 grams placed inside a blue hard case.

The city police chief said P101,320.00, and P500 bet money of different denominations were also recovered from the suspects.

The arrested suspects were immediately brought and detained at the police custodial facility after their arrest.

The police filed a violation of illegal gambling against the two suspects and additional charges of possession of illegal drugs against Ricky.
