The Quezon City government announced Saturday, Oct. 28, that it will host a business conference on Nov. 13 and 14, which aims to prepare business establishments in the city to the “future of work.”
The “INNOVATE.ADAPT.THRIVE: The Quezon City Future of Work Conference 2023” will be conducted at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Ortigas, Quezon City.
The event aims to empower business leaders, change-makers, and entrepreneurs as they foster a safe, inclusive, resilient, and sustainable workplace.
“We want Quezon City to be at the forefront of promoting future-ready work environments. To do so, we need to enable businesses to face the challenges of a rapidly changing world,” Quezon City Mayor Joy Belmonte said.
According to the local government, the two-day conference will discuss relevant knowledge and best practices in creating safe, inclusive, resilient and sustainable work environments.
It will also discuss how work, workers and, the workplace are predicted to evolve in the coming years, as well as how organizations can plan for a just transition to digitization, adapt to artificial intelligence (AI), retool their workforce, and retrofit their workspaces with environmentally sustainable technologies and make them disaster proof.
Belmonte added that the conference will also be an opportunity to help businesses comply with local and national regulations about safe and inclusive workspaces.
“The speakers we have invited will present local and global best practices relevant to the growth of QC businesses. We hope to reinforce and strengthen the city’s thrust of becoming a resilient and sustainable city,” she said
Among the city departments that spearheaded the conference were the QC Business Permit and Licensing Department, QC Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office, and QC Climate Change and Environmental Sustainability Department.

In 2022, the city government also hosted a business investors summit where they met with investors, business leaders, foreign dignitaries, and chambers of commerce to boost business confidence and to attract more job opportunities and accelerate the city’s economic growth.
