CAMP RAFAEL C. RODRIGUEZ, Butuan City – The Police Regional Office-13 activated its Media Action Center (MAC) in this camp on Saturday, October 28, for the barangay elections in the Caraga region on Monday, October 30.
The MAC will ensure the real-time release of accurate information to the media and public in the elections in the region, said Regional Public Information Office chief Police Major Jennifer S. Ometer.

The MAC is manned by police personnel ready to assist the media, with a spokesperson on standby for queries and the conduct of press briefings if needed.
“As we approach the actual casting of votes, our responsibility is not only to maintain peace and order but also to empower the public with accurate and timely information,” Police Brig. Gen. John Kirby Kraft said.
“Together, we can shape a more transparent and inclusive election process,” he added.
MACs were also established in city and provincial police offices and city and municipal police stations in the region.
