Pasay gov’t conducts Halloween blood-letting drive


The Pasay city government conducted a blood-letting activity themed “Pasay Bleeds Pink-Halloween Blood Drive” on Friday, Oct. 27, where 100 blood donors in Halloween costumes participated. 

Pasay City Mayor Emi Calixto-Rubiano said the blood-letting activity of the city government, in coordination with City Health Office (CHO)-Philippine Voluntary Blood Services Program, was held at the Newport World Resorts, Pasay City.

She said members of the Tau Gamma Phi, The Fraternal Orders of Eagles, Rotary Club of Makati Buendia, Pediatrica Unilab, Manila South Cosplayer, Cosplayer for a Cause, Manila Times, Philippine Costguard, and Alagang Kapatid Foundation Inc., were in Halloween costumes, during the activity.

The mayor said the primary objective of the activity is to collect blood that will be utilized in saving the lives of patients.

Rubiano said donors also get health benefits in donating blood.
