The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) on Saturday, Oct. 28 said the northern and the eastern portion of central Luzon may still experience rains due to the northeast monsoon or "amihan."

PAGASA said partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains will be felt in Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR), Cagayan Valley, and Aurora due to amihan.
Meanwhile, PAGASA said it still monitors the Low Pressure Area (LPA) outside the Philippine area of responsibility (PAR) which was seen 1,730 kilometers east of southeastern Mindanao.
Weather specialist Veronica Torres said the LPA still has a low chance of developing into a tropical cyclone in the next 24 to 48 hours, but PAGASA is not ruling out the possibility of it entering PAR, said Torres.
In Metro Manila and the rest of the country, partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers will be experienced caused by localized thunderstorms.
The public is warned of the risks of flash floods and landslides in high-risk areas due to moderate to heavy rains. (Lizst Torres Abello)
