The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) on Saturday, Oct. 28 said the Mayon Volcano Network has recorded increased seismic activities from 99 to 111 volcanic earthquakes from which 109 of those are volcanic tremors with a duration of one to 27 minutes.

Phvolcs said one pyroclastic density current event (PDC) and 122 rockfall events were also observed.
The lava still flows at a length of approximately 3.4 kilometers along Bonga, 2.8 kilometers along Mi-isi, and 1.1 kilometers along Basud Gullies.
Meanwhile, volcanic sulfur dioxide (SO2) emission had an average of 1,030 tons per day on Oct. 26, said Phivolcs.
Phivolcs warned the public of possible hazardous eruption in the following days or weeks, as Alert Level 3 is maintained over Mayon Volcano, which means that it is currently "in a relatively high level of unrest."
Phivolcs advised the public to avoid entry in a 6-km radius Permanent Danger Zone (PDZ) and to remain vigilant from the risks of PDCs, lava flows, rockfalls, lahar, sediment-laden stream flow, and other volcanic hazards. (Lizst Torres Abello)
