The Caloocan City North Medical Center (CCNMC) will provide free anti-cervical cancer services for all women in the city from Nov. 6 to Nov. 30.
The free services will include screening tests and pap smears and will be offered to women aged 15 to 49 years old through its OB-GYN Out-patient Department.
Caloocan City Mayor Dale Gonzalo “Along” Malapitan encouraged women in the city to avail of the free services. He commended and thanked the CCNMC initiative for helping address one of the most pressing health issues for women.
We know that cervical cancer does not manifest symptoms during its early stage, that's why we encourage all women aged 15 to 49 years old to take advantage of these services),” he added.
Last month, over 8600 residents have already benefited from cervical cancer services offered by the city government in local hospitals and health centers in commemoration of Cervical Cancer Awareness Month.
