CAMP Olivas, City of San Fernando, Pampanga – Police arrested a 52-year-old businessman running for councilor in the barangay elections on October 30 in Barangay Bagong Barrio, Pandi, Bulacan for alleged vote-buying on Saturday, October 28.

Seized from alias “Jun” were P35,840 cash, Department of Social Welfare and Development general intake sheets, and sample ballots.
The suspect is under the custody of the Pandi police station for proper disposition and filing of appropriate charges.
Police Regional Office-3 Director Police Brig. Gen. Jose S. Hidalgo Jr. reminded the public that vote-buying is an election offense punishable by one to six years imprisonment.
