Big Hit Music denies BTS visited entertainment bar linked to actor's drug scandal
The agency of K-pop group BTS strongly denied rumors that some BTS members frequented an entertainment bar in Gangnam, Seoul that was linked to actor and “Parasite” film star Lee Sun-kyun’s drug scandal.
"BTS has nothing to do with the rumor and it is completely untrue. We plan to take strong action against the indiscriminate spread of the rumor," said Big Hit Music, Korean media reported.

Lee Sun-kyun, whose acting credit includes the hit drama “Coffee Prince,’ was booked by the police on suspicion of using marijuana and other drugs several times at the home of a woman working at an adult entertainment establishment in Gangnam, Yonhap News reported.
Police led to Lee Sun-kyun after they investigated the distribution of illegal drugs in Gangnam entertainment establishments.
Lee Sun-kyun and other people were booked by the police on suspicion of drug use.
Besides BTS, (G)I-DLE's Jeon So-yeon and Le Sserafim’s Kim Chae-won were also linked to rumors that they visited the entertainment establishment frequented by Lee Sun-kyun. Their agencies flatly denied the rumors.
Meanwhile, BTS fans on the Korean online community DC Inside issued a statement about the rumors.
“On Oct. 26, BTS Gallery announced legal action against the situation where false information related to BTS is being spread indiscriminately. Since the agency HYBE (Big Hit Music) also announced its strong response policy on this day, this gallery demands a responsible response from the agency,” they said.
They added, “In particular, as the reputation of BTS was seriously damaged by a malicious broadcast using a provocative thumbnail on a large YouTube channel with over 800,000 subscribers on Oct. 27, the agency was the first to report the rumor within the day. We strongly urge you to sue the YouTube channel to the investigative agency to restore BTS' reputation.”
