Big Bang's G-Dragon, 'Parasite' star Lee Sun-kyun banned from leaving Korea
K-pop group Big Bang’s G-Dragon (real name Kwon Ji-yong), 35, and Korean actor and “Parasite” movie star Lee Sun-kyun, 48, have been banned from leaving South Korea amid the police’s widening investigation into their alleged drug use.
G-Dragon and Lee Sun-kyun were booked by the police without detention on suspicion of using illegal drugs.

Lee Sun-kyun is suspected of using marijuana and psychotropic drugs. The police said G-Dragon and Lee Sun-kyun will undergo drug tests, Korean media reported.
The Ministry of Justice imposed the travel ban on G-Dragon and Lee Sun-kyun as confirmed by the Incheon Metropolitan Police Agency, the Korea JoongAng Daily reported.
G-Dragon issued a statement through a law firm on Oct. 27 denying that he used illegal drugs.
"This is Kwon Ji-yong. First of all, I have never taken drugs. I also want to state that I have nothing to do with the news reports about the 'violation of the Narcotics Control Act' that were recently released to the media," said G-Dragon.
He added, "However, because I know that many people are concerned, I will actively cooperate with the investigative agency's investigation and work more faithfully."
In 2011, G-Dragon was accused of smoking marijuana in Japan. At the time, YG Entertainment said someone gave G-Dragon a cigarette that turned out to be marijuana. He said he had a few puffs and then threw it away after realizing that it had a different taste.
G-Dragon initially tested negative after a urine test but tested positive during a hair drug test. Prosecutors decided not to charge him since only a small amount was found in his body.
