The Social Security System (SSS) has extended the deadline for self-employed, voluntary, and non-working spouse members to pay their contributions from July to September this year.
In a statement, SSS announced that the new deadline for the third-quarter period is Oct. 31, 2023.
However, SSS said that land-based overseas Filipino worker (OFW) members have different deadlines.
For contributions from January to September, the deadline is Dec.31 of the same year. For contributions from October to December, the deadline is Jan. 31 of the following year.
If the deadline falls on a weekend or holiday, payments can be made on the next working day, SSS said.
Likewise, SSS provides various payment options through accredited banks, non-bank partners, and selected SSS branches.
Members are reminded to settle their contributions within the given timeframe to ensure uninterrupted access to SSS benefits.
