The Philippine Red Cross (PRC) on Friday, Oct. 27, said it is set to deploy emergency medical services (EMS) personnel for 2023 Undas Operations across the country.

The humanitarian organization said its volunteers and staff will provide medical assistance at bus terminals, seaports, airports, highways, memorial parks, and selected thoroughfares.
“Our countrymen can count on the volunteers and staff of the Philippine Red Cross to be always ready and there for them in times of medical emergency,” PRC Chairman and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Richard Gordon said.
“I commend our staff and volunteers who help our countrymen during big events such as Undas,” he added.
On the other hand, PRC Secretary-General Dr. Gwen Pang emphasized the importance of promoting a safety culture within the country.
“We hope every Filipino family will place importance on safety and train their family members, too, on first aid,” she said.
In addition, she pointed out that the PRC offers training courses open to the public to prioritize safety and equip its members with first aid knowledge.
In 2022 PRC’s Undas operations, the PRC treated over 3,000 individuals with minor and major medical emergencies.
