Metro Pacific Health acquires 60% stake in Lucena hospital

Private hospital network Metro Pacific Health Corporation (MPH) has fulfilled another of its hospital investments by acquiring a 60.88 percent stake in Lucena United Doctors Inc. (LUDI), after launching a tender offer for the balance of 39.12 percent stake held by LUDI’s shareholders.

LUDI is the owner and operator of the Lucena United Doctors Hospital and Medical Center (LUDHMC), which is a level 2 hospital at Barangay Isabang in Lucena, Quezon province. Founded in 1981, it caters to patients from neighboring areas in Quezon, particularly growing residential developments outside the city center.

LUDHMC is the 23rd hospital in the MPH network and the fifth hospital in Southern Luzon, with recent investments in Antipolo Doctors Hospital in Rizal, Medical Center Imus in Cavite, Calamba Medical Center and Los Baños Doctors Hospital both in Laguna.
