Mayor Emi visits Pasay cemeteries in preparation for Undas 2023
Pasay City Mayor Emi Calixto-Rubiano led the inspection of the city’s public and private cemeteries in preparation for Undas 2023.
Rubiano was joined by Pasay City Police chief Col. Froilan Uy and other stake holders to ensure the preparedness of public and private cemeteries for the influx of visitors during Undas.
She said policemen will be deployed in the cemeteries to ensure the peace and order and assist in the traffic situation. They will also strictly implement the safety reminders issued by the city government inside the cemeteries.
Rubiano urged those who will be visiting their departed loved ones to follow the guidelines issued by the city government to ensure the peaceful and orderly observance of UNDAS.
She reminded the public to check the weather forecast and bring umbrellas or raincoats, depending on the weather; find or locate the first aid and police assistance desk.
Bringing of bladed and illegal weapons, bluetooth loud speakers, all kinds of liquors and gambling materials are prohibited when visiting the cemeteries.
The people were advised to strictly follow the CLAYGO (Clean As You Go) rule while inside the cemeteries.
The mayor said as a responsible citizen, it is very important to practice the CLAYGO rule since it essential to clean waste to avoid accidents and protect the environment.
Rubiano reminded visitors not to leave kids unattended or have someone to watch over the children as they play or go around the area and bring their essentials such as water, extra clothes, food, and umbrella or mini fan, a first-aid kit, face masks, a vaccination card, valid identification card.
The visitors were also advised to bring power banks to charge their gadgets; hand sanitizers, wipes, tissue paper, soap and a small towel to stay clean; avoid wearing expensive jewelries and wear light clothing to keep the body cool or pack extra clothing to be safe.
