A man carrying a hand grenade was arrested by members of the Pasay City Police Substation-9 on Thursday, Oct. 26.
Col. Froilan Uy, city police chief, said the suspect identified as "Prince Nino" was arrested at around 7:55 p.m. at the corner of Nichols Interchange and West Service Road, Pasay city.
Uy said that a concerned citizen called Police Substation-9 for assistance for fear that the hand grenade in possession of the suspect might explode. This prompted the police to respond to the scene and arrest the suspect.
The suspect was immediately brought at the police custodial facility and was charged with illegal possession of explosives in relation to Omnibus Election Code.
