Thirdy Ravena returned to his double-digit scoring output as the San-En Neophoenix extended their win streak to five games in the Japan B.League action on Wednesday, Oct. 25.

After struggling in the last game following a string of double-figure performances, Ravena was back at it again in the San-En’s 89-80 victory over Fighting Eagles Nagoya. He finished with 14 points, eight rebounds and two steals as the NeoPhoenix improved to a 6-1 record.
Also enjoying early success to the season were Ray Parks’ Nagoya Diamond Dolphins who survived a late fightback from the Kai Sotto-less Hiroshima Dragonflies, 93-89. Parks finished with eight points and three assists as his team rose to a perfect 7-0 record.
Elsewhere, AJ Edu’s double-double performance went for naught as the Toyama Grouses remained winless through seven games after a 90-59 romp at the hands of the Mikawa Seahorses.
Edu did everything in his power to end the drought for Toyama, finishing with 17 points and 11 rebounds but to no avail.
Dwight Ramos’ efforts also went down the drain as Levanga Hokkaido suffered an 83-77 loss to the Chiba Jets. The Gilas Pilipinas standout had 13 points, five rebounds, and five assists across his name but were not enough as his team slid to a 1-5 record.
RJ Abarrientos and Carl Tamayo’s presence, meanwhile, were hardly felt in their respective teams’ losses.
Abarrientos only had seven points, two rebounds and an assist in return after missing the last game for Shinshu Brave Warriors. They dropped an 80-74 loss to Saga Ballooners.
Tamayo, on the other hand, only had two points, a rebound and three steals to show in Ryukyu’s second loss of the season, an 87-66 decision against the Kawasaki Brave Thunders
