Pasig LGU releases cemetery schedules, traffic advisory for Undas
The local government of Pasig released on Thursday, Oct. 26, the operating schedules of cemeteries and a traffic advisory for Undas in the city.
The city advised the public of the operating hours of the following cemeteries from Oct. 31 to Nov. 2.
On Oct. 31, the Evergreen Cemetery and Pasig City Cemetery (barracks) will be open for 24 hours.
The Pasig Catholic Cemetery and Santolan Catholic Cemetery will be open from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m., while Sta. Clara Mortuary will only be open from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m.
On Nov. 1, the Evergreen Cemetery, Pasig Catholic Cemetery, Santolan Catholic Cemetery, and Pasig City Cemetery (barracks) will be open for 24 hours, while Sta. Clara Mortuary will only be open from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m.
For the Nov. 2 schedule, the Pasig City Cemetery (barracks) is the only cemetery that is open from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m., while Pasig Catholic Cemetery and Santolan Catholic Cemetery will only open until 8 p.m.
The Sta. Clara Mortuary will only be open until 7 p.m. and the Evergreen Cemetery until 6 p.m. only.
It added that the Pasig City Cemetery Office (barracks) will operate from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. from Oct. 31 to Nov. 2.
The city also advised motorists that starting at 2 p.m. on Oct. 31 to Nov. 1, a one-way scheme will be temporarily implemented at C. Raymundo Avenue northbound from E. Angeles Street to Mercedes Avenue.
The Public was advised to take an alternative route.
It also reminded the public who will visit cemeteries, memorial parks, and columbariums that alcoholic drinks, guns, other weapons, and equipment that create loud noises are prohibited. Gambling is also banned.
Visitors are also urged to bring enough food and drinks if they will stay longer in cemeteries, as well as umbrellas and raincoats to protect them from the sun or rain.
Meanwhile, it advised people who have symptoms of flu not to go to cemeteries and just stay at home to prevent the spread of the disease.
The local government assured the public that all cemeteries have designated first aid tents and police desks located near entrances.
