The Manila local government announced on Thursday, Oct. 26, that Manila Mayor Honey Lacuna- Pangan ranked third in the job performance survey conducted by RP-Mission and Development Foundation Inc. from Sept. 20 to 30 this year.
The lady mayor earned 89.7% percent in the National Capital Region (NCR) survey, sharing the top three spot with Pasig Mayor Vico Sotto and Makati Mayor Abby Binay.
Lacuna-Pangan was cited for the highly efficient programs and services she initiated during the third quarter survey.
"Lubos po akong nagpapasalamat sa tiwala at suporta na ibinigay ninyo sa Pamahalaang Lungsod ng Maynila. Hangarin namin na patuloy na magbigay ng mapagkalinga at tapat na paglilingkod sa lahat ng Manileño (I am very grateful for the trust and support you have given to the city government of Manila. We aim to continue to provide caring and honest service to all Manileños)," Lacuna- Pangan said.
The survey was a component of the "Boses ng Bayan,” a comprehensive evaluation of the performance of public officials through face-to-face interviews with a total of 10,000 adult respondents.
The respondents were selected randomly and the numbers of respondents per district were assigned accordingly based from its official voting population data.
The RPMD said that evaluating regularly are crucial in ensuring that government officials fulfill their roles and responsibilities effectively.
