The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) on Thursday, Oct. 26, said rains will persist in parts of the country due to the northeast monsoon or "amihan" and the Low Pressure Area (LPA) being monitored outside the Philippine area of responsibility (PAR.)

PAGASA said the LPA which was seen 2,210 kilometers east of northeastern Mindanao has a low chance of developing into a tropical cyclone.
The extension or trough of the LPA will bring cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms in CARAGA and Davao Region, said PAGASA.
The public is warned of possible flash floods and landslides in high-risk areas due to moderate to heavy rains.
PAGASA said partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains will be felt in Ilocos Region, Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR), Cagayan Valley, and Central Luzon due to the northeast monsoon or "amihan."
Meanwhile, Metro Manila and the rest of the country will also have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers caused by localized thunderstorms.
PAGASA also advised the public to be vigilant against flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms. (Lizst Torres Abello)
