The House of Representatives will hold a special session on Saturday, Nov. 4, the House leadership has bared in a memorandum.

The House of Representatives will hold a special session on Saturday, Nov. 4, the House leadership has bared in a memorandum.

In the memorandum issued by House Secretary General Reginald Velasco dated Oct. 25, 2023, House employees were advised of the security preparations ahead of the special session.

A subsequent media advisory revealed that the special session will be held "for an important event". It will take place at 9 a.m. at the House plenary hall.

The special session will be held two days before the schedule resumption of sessions in Congress on Monday Nov. 6. Congress has been on recess since Sept. 28.

Sources said that special session in the House will coincide with the visit of a head of state from Asia.
