As part of its efforts in promoting sports, wellness, and sustainability, the Greenfield Development Corporation (GDC) will launch on Friday, Oct. 27, a three-day long fair aimed at enriching the people's minds about the importance of keeping oneself healthy through sports and recreation.
The fair, dubbed the "District Car Boot Sale Sports & Celebrity Edition", will be held at the Mayflower Parking, Greenfield District in Mandaluyong City from Oct. 27 upt to Oct. 29.
Renowned individuals in the field of sports, showbiz, arts, and culture will attend the event.
At the three-day event, the District Car Boot Sale offers an array of sellers of sporting goods, health and wellness products, vintage finds, clothing, accessories, collectibles, art, and other items.
Due to its location, visitors will also enjoy the beauty of nature and clean spaces where they can enjoy to jog around, walking their pets, hangout with friends and family, and feast on al fresco dining restaurants and stalls.
“This event is proof of our company’s commitment to promote health and wellness. We show our support by featuring some of our local athletes who have given honor and continuously strive to give honor to our country by excelling in their chosen sports and in the process also promote and encourage a healthy lifestyle,” Atty. Duane A.X. Santos, GDA executive vice president, said.
Greenfield District boasts of a mix of commercial establishments that encourage healthy living with Play Padel, which is a sports facility for padel that also comes with pilates classes and a cafe; Gameville that features two FIBA-certified basketball courts, a volleyball court, a gym, a sports bar, and a sports shop; and the Climb Central, an indoor rock-climbing gym which is unique to the community. The area will soon have The Studio, a pole dance studio at Zitan, plus some clinics, massage facilities, and wellness centers.
Families can enjoy quality time together trying delicious food from 21 different food trucks at the Food Truck Fest, a popular outdoor dining destination in the metro where visitors can find everything from burgers to international dishes, desserts, and drinks to satisfy every palate.
GDA urged attendees to bring their eco-friendly bags to the event, saying "Greenfield District cares about the environment and wants to reduce its impact. While you shop for deals and enjoy tasty food, join the Greenfield District in remembering to protect our environment."
