Bloody drinking spree: Man hacks brother to death due to land dispute

CAVITE – A man was arrested for allegedly hacking his brother to death in Alfonso on Wednesday, Oct. 25.

Alfonso Municipal Police Station (MPS) identified the suspect as Roberto L. Mendoza.

Investigator-on-case Staff Sergeant Boyet Soriano told the Manila Bulletin that the suspect had a drinking spree with his two younger brothers on the day of the incident.

During the get-together, a heated argument reportedly sparked between the suspect and his brothers over a land dispute.

The disagreement led to a brawl, and the suspect allegedly hit the victim, Manolito L. Mendoza, in the head with a bolo, resulting in his death.

The suspect is now under the custody of Alfonso MPS and is facing a homicide charge.
