AP.Bren shrugged off a long lull and sent RSG Philippines crashing to the lower bracket with a thrilling 3-2 victory in the MPL Philippines Season 12 playoffs at the EVM Convention Center on Thursday, Oct. 26.

Dragged to the deciding Game 5 in the series that had been marred by a long pause midway, the Hive averted a huge collapse with Kyle “Kyletzy” Sayson providing the huge lift on his signature Fanny.
The AP.Bren star outplayed RSG rising star John “1rrad” Tuazon and his surprise Guinivere pick in their jungle matchup. With Kyletzy securing almost every objective, he quickly secured his core items and started running wild to finish with a perfect 5-0-2 KDA.
AP.Bren then patiently maneuvered its siege around RSG base to close out the series with a 10-5 win to arrange an upper bracket finals clash against Blacklist International and with the first ticket to the M5 World Championship also at stake
The dominant Game 5 performance actually saved some blushes for AP.Bren after it failed to end the series in Game 4.
Coming off back-to-back victories to take a 2-1 lead, AP.Bren started out flat as Nathanael “Nathzz” Estrologo dominated the early game with his Yu Zhong pick.
In what was seen as a redeemer after an apparent misdraft in Game 3 that saw RSG make do of a Baxia EXP lane pick but failed RSG came back and sent the series to the decider with an 8-2 win in Game 4.
All is not lost however for RSG as it will continue its journey in the lower bracket although it will be pitted against M4 world champions ECHO which was defeated by Blacklist, 3-1, in their own upper bracket semis match.
