4 areas in Metro Manila affected by water interruption


East zone water concessionaire Manila Water Co. will conduct service improvement activities in two cities and two municipalities in Metro Manila starting Thursday, Oct. 26.

According to Manila Water, ongoing line maintenance will cause little to no water in Quezon City, Cainta and Antipolo in Rizal.

Meanwhile, an interconnection will happen in Makati on November 8, affecting nine barangays. 

Below is the list of affected areas and their schedule:

Oct. 26 to 27, from 10:00 PM to 4:00 AM

Quezon City – Brgys. Culiat, Central, and Bagong Lipunan ng Crame

Antipolo, Rizal – Brgy. Mambugan

Cainta, Rizal – Brgy. San Isidro, (All Subdivisions and Commercial Establishments along Gertrudes St (from Sumulong Intersection to Antipolo Valley Subdivision), Kingsville Court, Jacinto Bagumbayan, Marpaz/ Duhat St., Halang, Everlast Compound, FEU Village, Santos Compound, Teremil Subd, Oaks Residences, Antipolo Valley Subdivision)

Nov. 8 to 9, from 10:00 PM to 7:00 AM

Makati City – Brgys. Santa Cruz, La Paz, San Antonio, Pio Del Pilar, Singkamas, Tejeros, San Lorenzo, Bel-Air, and Poblacion.

Residents are asked to start storing their water supply to mitigate the inconvenience, After the maintenance, the concessionaire advised the public to flush out tap water until it becomes clear. (Gabriell Christel Galang)
