"At the Red Cross, we place importance on traditions, and one of these traditions is celebrating important milestones, which allow us to look back and reflect on what we have accomplished and renew or increase our ambition for the future," Gordon said in a PRC statement on Oct. 25.

"We always study how we can improve the way we do things and surpass our own achievements. We want to be the best ever," he added.

With the theme "PRCQC: 75 Years of Epitome of Service: Stronger in Red," the PRC's Quezon City chapter celebrated its 75th anniversary by bringing together the partners who played pivotal roles in helping the chapter reach this significant milestone.

The Quezon City chapter is one of the PRC's oldest and pioneering branches.

One of its most recent notable accomplishments was the construction of Covid-19 isolation facilities during the pandemic's peak in 2021 at two prestigious institutions, the University of the Philippines Diliman and the Ateneo de Manila University.

The anniversary is a "testament to its dedication to the Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement's mission of alleviating human suffering and uplifting human dignity," according to PRC Secretary-General Dr. Gwen Pang.

Pang also expressed gratitude to all PRC volunteers, staff, and partners for their "invaluable service to the people of Quezon City for 75 years."

An award ceremony will be held to recognize seventy-five institutional and individual partners who contributed significantly to the chapter's success.
