The Codebreakers pulled themselves together and returned to their old, effective ways as they focused on securing the big objectives en route to the series-clinching Game 5 win to set up what is expected to be a thrilling fight against ECHO in the next round.
Onic’s towers fell one after another as Blacklist only needed 12 minutes to win the last game, 8-2, with the mid duo Renejay “Renejay” Barcase on the Mathilda and Kenneth “Yue” Tadeo on the Faramis setting up the tone with 100 percent kill participations.
The lopsided win actually put an anti-climactic end to the series that saw both teams go back-and-forth in the first four games.
It was Blacklist which drew the series first blood with a perfect 6-0 win in Game 1 behind the efforts of Edward “Edward” Dapadap and Oheb's stellar showings.
The Hedgehogs though made sure to get back at the Codebreakers as Kenneth “Nets” Barro took over with a neat 6-0-10 line on his Irithel to complete a 20-10 equalizer in Game 2.
Blacklist regained footing in Game 3, cruising to a 12-4 win before Onic once again returned the favor with a 15-6 win to send the game to a deciding match.
With the win, Blacklist forged an upper bracket match against its M4 and Season 11 tormentor in the Orcas.
