Abigail Uy Rivero, the mother of basketball player Ricci Rivero, shared some wisdom with her son, who is in a relationship with former beauty queen-politician Leren Mae Bautista.

Mrs. Rivero also reminded her Ricci and Leren that God will end a toxic relationship. Her full comment on Instagram on Oct. 24:

“Walang niloko at walang nanloko” sadyang hindi lang sila ang gustong magkatuluyan ng tadhana…

"Have you ever wondered why some relationships work out while others don’t? It can be annoying when you want to be with someone, especially when you know you gave your ALL, but it just doesn’t seem to be working out.

“God will end a relationship if it’s toxic”. If you're in a toxic environment, you do not need to "get used to it for a long time" or "just get over it."

"God wants you to remove yourself from these situations. God will even help you set up an unthinkable escape… Just learn to LISTEN!

"The truth is, if it’s meant to be, it will happen. When God wants you with someone, He will make it happen.

"Meanwhile, a healthy relationship is one in which there is oneness of goals, purpose, values & beliefs.

"Keep your relationship healthy by listening, talking, accepting, managing conflict, making time for each other, and praying together. May Father God almighty bless you both!"

Prior to Leren, Ricci was in a relationship with Kapamilya star Andrea Brillantes.
