Las Piñas LGU celebrates Global Handwashing Day

The Las Piñas city government celebrated the Global Handwashing Day on Oct. 20 at Talon Elementary School in Barangay Talon Uno.

Vice Mayor April Aguilar said the activity, in partnership with Maynilad, is aimed at instilling the importance of proper hand hygiene among the youth.

Aguilar said the celebration demonstrated a united front against health adversities, emphasizing the simple act of handwashing as a frontline defense against illnesses.

She also highlighted the significance of regular handwashing, especially amidst the ongoing global health crisis.

The vice mayor commended the collaboration between the city and Maynilad in orchestrating such a crucial awareness campaign, showcasing the synergy between public and private sectors in promoting community health.

The successful celebration of Global Handwashing Day in Las Piñas underlines the city's proactive approach in health education, setting a robust foundation for a healthier and more informed community.
