John Lloyd Cruz confirms relationship with Isabel Santos: 'Si Isabel ay girlfriend ko. Boyfriend niya ako'

Award-winning actor John Lloyd Cruz has confirmed his relationship with Isabel Santos, granddaughter of award-winning cartoonist and painter Mauro "Malang" Santos.

"Si Isabel ay girlfriend ko. Boyfriend niya ako," said John Lloyd, when asked about Isabel, during an appearance on "Fast Talk With Boy Abunda" on GMA Network aired on Tuesday. Oct. 24.

Boy encouraged John Lloyd to share more details about his relationship with Isabel, but he didn't say much about her.

 

 

"We're boring people. Wala kaming maikukwento.Ganyan lang kami, photo chilling with friends. Matagal na kaming magkakilala.

"Gallery nila yung una kong pinasok na gallery. At the time na bago pa lang ako tumigil with ABS-CBN, napadpad ako sa pag-explore ng arts circle. So gallery nila yung una kong napasok. Sila yung una kong nakilala. Family nila. Kung sino yung nga patrons ng gallery nila. We were talking before but hindi nag-evolved into something ideal for us at that time. Mula noon present na siya sa buhay ko," said Boy.

John Lloyd, 40, stated that he holds a positive belief in the institution of marriage.

When asked If his relationship with Isabel made him believe in marriage, John Lloyd said: Yes. She's very elemental sa mga ganyang bagay. Kung paano na mo-mould kung ano man yung lumalabas sa bibig ko. Kung ano man yung nabubuo sa isip ko. Yung consideration lagi for the two of us especially para sa kanya, laging nandyan."

Prior to Isabel, John Lloyd was in a relationship with actress Ellen Adarna from 2017 to 2018. They have a son, Elias, who just turned five last June.

Regarding his relationship with Elias, John Lloyd stated: "Sobrang panalo. Napakasuwerte ko. Yun ang naging pinaka-role niya sa buhay ko, nung dumating na siya. Yun talaga yung wow.

"Siguro yung pinakasimpleng maipapaliwanag ko is, si Elias, parang iniligtas niya yung buhay ko. Hindi ko ma-imagine yung buhay ko kung paano magtutuloy kung hindi dumating si Elias. Ang dami niyang ibinigay na bago. Bagong kahulugan, bagong duties, mga bagong... all of sudden, iba na 'yung tingin mo sa lahat,” the actor said.
