Fans went wild over Loewe’s latest campaign with a star-studded lineup. Jonathan Anderson, the brand’s creative director of the brand, shared on social media images captured by photographer Juergen Teller featuring stars such as Dakota Fanning, Greta Lee, and Josh O’Connor, among others. But the one who took the spotlight is English actress Maggie Smith.
The Academy award-winning performer headlines Loewe’s spring-summer 2024 campaign. Maggie looks regal in the images as she carries the brand’s iconic Puzzle and Paseo bags. Fans instantly called the images iconic, with celebrities Lily James, Ursula Corbero, and Tracee Ellis Ross sending love to the actress in the comment section.
Maggie, 88, has an extensive acting career in film, television, and theater, and has garnered numerous awards for her craft. Apart from being Professor Minerva McGonagall in the “Harry Potter” movie franchise, she is also known for her performance in British period drama “Downton Abbey.”
Loewe’s spring-summer 2024 collection, showcased at historic castles of Esplanade Saint-Louis, played with the subtlety and focused on the details. What Jonathan sent down the runway were pieces that highlighted wearability, from short chunky jumpers and long capes that encase the body to dilated pullovers that flow around it. Leather was turned into tailored and sleek coats that can be flipped under the arm on one side, like a bag. Also present on the runway were T-shirts and shorts with chewed hems. The collection was made up of pieces in a muted palette of camel, gray, brown, black touched by accents of red, bougainvillea, and tangerine.
