CEBU CITY – Four Chinese and two Filipinos were arrested for allegedly kidnapping a Chinese businesswoman in Panglao, Bohol.

The Bohol Provincial Police Office (BPPO) said that the victim was last seen in Dauis, Bohol.
The incident was reported to the BPPO on Monday, October 23.
After a thorough investigation and tracking, the Provincial Intelligence Unit, Provincial Mobile Force Company, Panglao Municipal Police Station, and Dauis Police Station conducted a rescue operation.
The victim was successfully rescued while the suspects were arrested at 8:45 a.m. on Tuesday, October 24, in Barangay Poblacion, Panglao.
The suspects were identified as Hong Tianfu, Deng Ru You, 34, Wang Lie, 33, and Long Qingqing, 34.
Their alleged Filipino cohorts were identified as Roberson Jeremy Atienza and Jonel Dave Olayres, 23.
Two caliber .45 pistols and two vehicles, one of which is owned by the victim, were recovered by the police during the operation.
Police are checking reports that the victim had paid P25 million in ransom money to the suspects.
Gov. Aris Aumentado, who rushed to the area where the suspects were arrested, commended the police for the quick rescue of the victim.
“This is an isolated incident. The provincial government continues to work hard to keep our city peaceful,” said Aumentado.
