Cloudy weather, rains prevail in Metro Manila, most of Luzon
The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) on Tuesday, Oct. 24, said cloudy weather conditions with rains will still prevail in Metro Manila and large parts of Luzon due to the shear line and the northeast monsoon or "amihan."

PAGASA said the shear line---an area where the cold northeasterly winds and warm easterly winds converge --- brings cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms in Metro Manila, Isabela, Aurora, Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal, Quezon and Camarines Norte.
The public was advised to be vigilant against flash floods and landslides in high-risk areas during severe thunderstorms.
PAGASA said Batanes, Cagayan, and Apayao will also have cloudy skies with rains while Ilocos Region, the rest of Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR), and the rest of Cagayan Valley will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies due to amihan.
Meanwhile, the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers caused by localized thunderstorms.
PAGASA also warned the public of possible risks of flash floods and landslides during moderate to heavy rains. (Lizst Torres Abello)
